Pitch a focused subject related to plants, garden layouts, materials, seasonal change or garden culture. We are interested in useful explanations, careful comparisons, historical context, common misconceptions and guides for a particular garden moment.

What makes a good pitch

Tell us the central question, the main point readers will take away and the ground the piece will cover. Include a brief outline and note any sources, images or specialist input the idea would need. A strong proposal has a distinct angle and does not depend on unsupported claims or promises of a particular growing result.
